Rugby interest in LA

Is virtually non-existent.

Thank goodness for BBC Scotland online. It's otherwise been near impossible to catch any of the 6 nations here. None of the networks or crappy channels are showing any of the games live. Delayed telecasts are only being shown on a pay-per-view channel that my cable provider (adelphia are crap) doesn't offer. And we tried going to an Irish pub (O'Brien's on Wilshire in Santa Monica) last night to catch Ireland vs Italy, but all we caught was a couple of dicky tummys from pub food. We were amazed that even an Irish pub in LA was more concerned with the Lakers than the rugby... At least Focks Soccer Channel had 30 second highlights amongst the other fitball news. And even that wasn't near as good as the very-small-screen video highlights provided by BBC Sport.

Plus, it's Super Bowl weekend, which means even pseudo-British pubs will be showing the Steelers vs the Seahawks instead of highlights of yesterday's exciting-sounding England v Wales, let alone Minnows (trying-to-rebuild-but-still-a-way-off-1990's-team Scotland) vs Biig Fish (favourites-to-win-the-6-Nations France).
