We're on the move; from Auld Reekie to La-La Land. Unless, of course, things fall through. Either way, it's going to be a difficult and frustrating experience, which should be entertaining for anyone who's not involved in the move. Just watch us turn into nervous wrecks...
Initial plans were to post as two people under one pseudonym (hence "bramble", our mutual favourite soft fruit), but P never could be bothered to post anything. So now it's just akatsukira on her tod. She has now ported to akatsukira.com, but is still maintaining these blogspot pages. Leave her a note anywhere; she still cares.
A return from Edinburgh to LAX is as low as £444, but a single costs £390. Eh? Where's the logic in that? It's odd how airlines do that: charge you as much for a single as a return. However I work it, I'll have to buy a single and a return, because I have to be back in mid-September for the happy event of P's brother's wedding.

you may want to check some online site like travelocity as i believe round trip tickets originating from los angeles (lax-edi v edi-lax) may be cheaper--i was supposed to go to edinburgh in september as well, and last time i checked a return ticket was $560 on united. it might be cheaper to buy the round trip from la.
Thanks Santos. That may be the way to go; airline tickets in the UK are notoriously pricey. Will you be here for the Festival? Give me a shout if you need any help/advice.
